The Inspect Point product team regularly prioritizes features, improvements and bug fixes to the Inspect Point platform. Here’s our latest release…
Up until now, our product updates have been primarily distributed via email and dumped into general product update posts. This means some of you may have missed product updates . It’s time to fix that! We’re excited to introduce a new series called Release Notes.
With every iPad release, Release Notes, will highlight the improvements and features we’re launching, so you can easily stay up-to-date on what’s new. Let’s take a look at what will be available in the 2.8.2 iPad release, which will be available Wednesday, February 15th at 8:00PM EST.
- Custom Alarm Device Types
As a backend user you can now add “custom alarm device types” to your instance of Inspect Point. This increases the customization available in your instance of Inspect Point, by allowing you to quickly add alarm device types, that aren’t currently in the system, without needing an iPad update. This saves you, the user, 2+weeks of waiting time!
- Equipment
You have lots of assets, devices and statuses, that need to be recorded. To expand on the customization we are building into Inspect Point, we have made it so you can add equipment and statuses in the backend, without requiring an iPad change. Up until now, the addition of types took several weeks to optimize due to iOS approval restrictions. We’ll share more details, from our Product team, soon!
- Spanish Translation
General Wet and General Dry inspection questions are now available in Spanish on the iPad. You have the ability to set the default language to Spanish or English on the iPad, and generate the reports in either English or Spanish.
- Offline Inspection Submission Notification
If you are a tech in the field, and not connected to data or a WiFi connection, will now see an error message – “The internet connection appears to be offline” – when trying to submit inspections back to the office.
- iPad Keyboard Updates
You will now see capitalization, when appropriate, when tapping into text fields on the iPad.
